Check out this post over at “Make Use Of” which succinctly explains recent updates to Google Maps, such as the “Show Photos” feature, and” Wikipedia” articles about every location on the map.
The picture incorporation is by far the coolest new feature. I can fly to Carthage, South Dakota and check out what Main Street looks like. I can fly to Idaho and check out the Northern Rockies. I can fly to Russia and check out the Arctic Tundra. I can fly inside Eva Longoria’s house and see what she’s eating.
OK, I can’t do that, but you get the point. It rocks.
Couple this with Street-View and Google has literally put the world at your fingertips.
Bad ass, Google Maps. Bad ass.
